Samsung has recently announced the launch of this year’s flagship device, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. Now as per a report, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are going to be launched in India next week.
SamMobile reports that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be launching in India on March 6. On the other hand, GSMArena claims that company has also started sending out invitations to the media for the launch event to be held in New Delhi on the said date.
The company has already started pre-bookingsfor both the smartphones in India on its official website. Interested customers will have to pay Rs 2,000 as a pre-booking amount for the latest flagship devices. Users need to click on ‘Buy Now’option on the website and then enter all the details like Name, mobile number, email ID, model and colour of the device.
Once the pre-booking is done, users will receive a notification via SMS/ email confirming the registration. Samsung will then send another SMS and email to the users when the smartphones will be available for purchase on the launch date. Users will get pre-booking coupon, which can be used at the time of checkout to adjust the booking amount from the final payable amount. Interestingly, Samsung is yet to announce the final price and launch date of the latest smartphone. However, Flipkart has already confirmed that the latest smartphones will be exclusively available on its e-commerce portal.
Yesterday, pricing of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ were also leaked. As per the report by 91mobiles, 64 GB storage variants of S9 and S9+ will have a price tag of Rs 62,500 and Rs 70,000 respectively, whereas, the 256 GB storage variants of the S9 and S9+ will come with Rs 71,000 and Rs 79,000 pricing respectively. The report also mentions that the actual price is usually lower than the MRP, so it is expected that the selling prices of the smartphones to be lesser when launched.
