Leaks and rumours about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are doing rounds for a while now, but it seems that we may finally know the battery size of the much-rumoured devices.
According to the latest reports coming out from Korea, it seems a Samsung official has confirmed that the Galaxy S8 will come with a 3000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8 Plus will sport a 3500mAh battery backup. The official has also stated that new batteries would be manufactured by Samsung SDI and Murata Manufacturing in Japan.

This is in line with the previous leak by Evan Blass that revealed all the major specifications about the device along with battery capacities of 3000mAh for Galaxy S8 and 3500mAh for Galaxy S8 Plus. However, this means that Galaxy S8 will sport a similar battery backup which is found in Galaxy S7 and it seems that the Plus model has a 100mAh smaller battery as compared to the Galaxy S7 EDGE (3600mAh).
With the whole Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, Samsung is paying a close attention to this department and that’s why the company has opted to select the similar battery backup. However, there is no way to verify this information, so we suggest you take this report with a grain of salt.
