After bringing the JioRail app to use IRCTC’s reserved ticket booking service on the JioPhone and JioPhone 2, Reliance Jio has now announced the launch of the JioGroupTalk app on Android phones. The JioGroupTalk app can be used to make group calls to your friends and family through VoLTE.
The app is available on the Google Play Store and has been listed as “One Touch Multi-Party Calling application exclusively for Jio Users”. The app comes with a simple interface and can be used to make group conference calls with up to 10 members. With JioGroupTalk, users will no longer need to add users one by one as they can select multiple contacts in one Go.
The JioGroupTalk app supports HD Calling support thus offering better voice quality even in groups. Group conferences can be set up in real time and users can send conference invitation to all selected participants with a single click and manage them during a conference. When in a conference, the app will also allow you to Add/Remove participants and mute participants selectively.
Additionally, there’s a Lecture Mode which when turned on will let only a single member speak so that the others get to listen attentively.
Currently, the JioGroupTalk application on the Play Store is on trial phase. The app can be downloaded from the Play Store and in order to register it, users will need to sign in using their Jio number at which point an OTP will be sent to their number. Interested users have been asked to mail their mobile number at contactjiojgt@gmail.com for participating in the trial period.
