After launching Redmi TV 70-inch 4K screen in August, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi has now launched its new Full HD smart TV with a 40-inch display. The Redmi TV 40-inch is priced at Yuan 999 (approximately Rs 10,059) and is available for sale through various online retailers in China.
The new Redmi TV features a 40-inch Full HD screen with a Resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 178-degree viewing angle and comes powered by a Cortex-A53 quad-core Amlogic Processor clocked at 1.4 GHz coupled with Mali-450 MP2 GPU. The Redmi 40-inch TV has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
The new Redmi TV comes loaded with 2x8W speakers, supports 2.4GHz WiFi, has 2 HDMI ports, one USP port, 1AV interface, analogue signal DTMB interface, an Ethernet port and also has S/PDIF interface as well. It also supports Dolby Audio and DTS 2.0+Digital Out. Further, Redmi Red TV 40-inch comes with PatchWall UI and AIoT smart interconnection feature, which helps in controlling smart devices and apps. The TV measures 905×512mmx220mm and weigh 6.1kgs.
Just to refresh, the company had launched Redmi TV with 70-inch 4K screen in China in August at a price tag of 3799 Yuan (approximately Rs 38,241) and features sixth-generation Amlogic 64-bit chipset, a 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core CPU, 750MHz Mali-450 MP3 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The TV runs on PatchWall UI with XiaoAI voice assistant and includes connectivity options like Dual Band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, an Ethernet port, S / PDIF, and AV ports.
