Redmi K30 to launch on December 10 in China

The Redmi K30 will be the first smartphone series from the Chinese smartphone maker to come with 5G support.

Redmi K30 smartphone has now been confirmed to launch in China on December 10. Earlier Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the company will launch Redmi K30 5G in December and now the launch date has also been announced.

Redmi brand’s General Manager Lu Weibing on a Weibo post has confirmed that the launch date of the upcoming Redmi K30 smartphone. The Redmi K30 smartphone will go official in the company’s home market China on 10th December. However, it is believed that the Redmi K30 Pro will go official next year.

The Redmi K30 will be the first smartphone series from the Chinese smartphone maker to come with 5G support. As per the company, the Redmi K30 will support both Standalone mode (SA) and non-standalone mode (NSA) modes.

Redmi K30 will be featuring a 6.66-inch hole-punch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) display with a density of 395ppi. The phone will come loaded with a 120Hz display. Users will have an option to choose between the standard 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rate on the upcoming smartphone.

The smartphone is reported to feature a Quad-rear camera setup with 60-megapixel sensor from Sony named as IMX686 sensor. This means that the rear camera of the Redmi K30 will come loaded with a 60-megapixel sensor.

It is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 730 SoC. However, as per some reports, the phone will be driven by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 735 with integrated 5G support.

An earlier 3C certification revealed that it could support up to 30W fast-charging as well. It will have a large battery (4500mAh-5000mAh), a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, UFS3.0 flash technology support and pre-installed MIUI11 out-of-the-box.
