Xiaomi is reportedly working on the next generation of smartphone under its Redmi K-series. Dubbed as Redmi K30, key details of the upcoming smartphone has been leaked online.
Folks at XDA Developers found out these features in MIUI 11 code. As per the report, the upcoming smartphone might come with code-name ‘phoenix’. The report highlights that the MIUI 11 version comes with a new method called ‘isBroadSideFingerprint’, which refers to the side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the upcoming smartphone.
Furthermore, the report highlights that the upcoming smartphone will come loaded with a 120Hz display. Users will have an option to choose between the standard 60Hz Refresh Rate and 120Hz refresh rate on the upcoming smartphone. Moving on, the smartphone is reported to feature a 60megapixel sensor from Sony named as IMX686 sensor. This means that the rear camera of the Redmi K30 will come loaded with a 60-megapixel sensor.
Meanwhile, during Xiaomi Developer Conference (MIDC), Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the company will launch Redmi K30 5G in December. Jun revealed that the Redmi K30 will support both Standalone mode (SA) and non-standalone mode (NSA).
The upcoming smartphone will feature a dual-punch hole design, which would be similar to what we have seen Galaxy S10+. Further, Redmi K30 expected to have Quad-rear camera setup, large battery (4500mAh-5000mAh) with support to 30W/40W super-fast charging technology, UFS3.0 flash technology support and pre-installed MIUI11.
