Xiaomi recently announced the MIUI 11 based on Android 10 alongside the launch of theMi Mix Alpha andMi Full Screen TV Pro. Now the company has announced that Poco F1 will receive MIUI 11 update.
Earlier Xiaomi announced a list of phones which will receive MIUI 11, but it didn’t mention the Poco F1. Now, head of Pocophone Global Alvin Tse has confirmed on Twitter that the Poco F1 will get MIUI 11.
The reason why Poco F1 was not included in MIUI update list is that the company only released the list of devices that will get MIUI 11 which are only available in China. The list did not include global variants. Since the Poco F1 was not launched in China, it was not a part of the list.
Tse said that the MIUI 11 will come to Poco F1 when it rolls out globally. He added that the MIUI 11 stable edition will be released in China in mid-October. He stated that its global edition will be “a bit behind but not too far.”
Poco F1 was launched in India last year, and since then it has received several price cuts. In the upcoming Xiaomi Diwali sale, Poco F1 will be available for as low as Rs 14,999 for the 6GB+64GB base variant. It’s 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB versions can also be bought for Rs 15,999 and Rs 18,999 respectively.
By mid-October the MIUI 11 update will be made available to Mi 9, Mi 9 Explorer, Mi 9 SE, Mi MIX 3, Mi MIX 2S, Mi 8, Mi 8 Youth Edition, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Mi 8 In-Display Fingerprint Edition, Mi 8 SE, Mi MAX 3, Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi 7.
