Chinese phone maker Oppo has announced that ColorOS 7 custom user interface will go official in India on 26th November. The announcement comes after the company recently confirmed that it will launch ColorOS 7 in China on November 20.
The China invite showed that the new user interface might come withsystem-wide dark mode, improved gaming performance along with overall improvement in the user interface. However, there is no information available on the upcoming features of the new UI, but one could expect it to build on Android 10.
Meanwhile, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth in an AskMadhav session on YouTube last month Madhav Sheth disclosed that Realme phones will get a special version of ColorOS 7 when it will be launched. He revealed that ColorOS 7 on Realme phone will be close to stock Android.
While Sheth said that Realme phones with ColorOS 7 will offer a near-to-stock Android experience, it’s unclear if the interface will bring the same feature to Oppo phones or if stock-ish Android is being developed exclusively for Realme.
Oppo launched the ColorOS 6 last year in November and the new ColorOS 7 will be its successor. ColorOS comes with an updated user interface, Game Boost 2.0, short video, gaming, AI and security features, among others.
The company is preparing the ColorOS 7 rollout for its smartphones. Shen Yiren, Vice President of Oppo has earlier confirmed that Oppo Reno 10x zoom will be one of the smartphones getting ColorOS 7. Apart from that nothing much is known about this operating system.
With ColorOS 7 set to release on November 20 in China, we expect the company to reveal a list of phones that will get updated to the latest custom operating system soon.
