Oppo has launched a new smartphone under it’s R17 series – Oppo R17 Neo in Japan. This is following the launch of Oppo R17 and Oppo R17 Pro smartphones in China. Oppo R17 is Japan’s first ever phone to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is priced at JPY 38,988 which is approximately Rs 25,464.
In terms of specifications, the Oppo R17 Neo features a 6.41-inch FHD+ AMOLED Display with a waterdrop notch design and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 670 Chipset clocked at 1.95GHz.
The phone has a 4GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128 GB. There is a microSD card slot for expanding the memory. The handset includes 3,600mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.2 on top of it.

Oppo R17 Neo is equipped with horizontally aligned dual rear cameras with a combination of 16-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, it has a 25-megapixel selfie shooter available inside the notch of the smartphone for selfies and video calling.
On the connectivity front, the Oppo R17 Neo has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS and Bluetooth 5.0. In terms of dimensions, the Oppo R17 Neo measures 158.3×75.5×7.4mm and weighs 156 grams.
