Oppo R17 launched with 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 670, 8GB RAM

Oppo R17 is the first device to use the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 technology.

After being spotted on company’s official website, Oppo R17 has finally gone official in China. The Oppo R17 is priced at 3499 Yuan which is approximately Rs 35,600 and it is now available for pre-order from the official Oppo website. The smartphone will be available for sale in China from 30 August and it comes in Twilight Blue and Starry Purple colours.

Specifications wise, Oppo R17 features a 6.4-inch (2280 × 1080 pixels) Full display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 91.5% screen-to-body ratio and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is to be noted though the R17 is the first device to use the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 technology. A 1.7GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 670 powers the smartphone with Adreno 615 GPU.

TheOppo R17 has 8GB with 128GB internal storage. It is backed up by 3500mAh battery with VOOC flash charge and it has an in-display fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in 0.41 seconds.

For the camera department, the Oppo R17 has a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel rear camera with flash, f/1.8 aperture and 5-megapixel secondary rear camera. It has a 25-megapixel front-facing camera with Portrait mode, f/2.0 aperture, and Sony IMX576. Oppo R17 runs on 8.1 (Oreo) with ColorOS 5.2.

For connectivity features, it has various features like Dual SIM, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), 5 and USB-C port. For dimensions, it measures 157.5 × 74.9 × 7.5mm and it weighs 182grams.

There is no information about its availability in other countries including India yet. But since the Oppo R series is exclusive to China, it might not be made available globally by the company.
