Oppo A57 with 16MP front camera launched in India at Rs 14,990

The smartphone will be available in Indian market starting February 3rd.

As anticipated, Oppo has announced the launch of its new selfie focused ‘Oppo A57’ smartphone in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 14,990 and will be available throughbricks and mortar stores as well as online retailers such as Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal starting February 3rd. The smartphone comes in Gold colour option.

The Oppo A57 was first unveiled in China in the month of November last year for 1599 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,768).

As far as specifications are concerned, the Oppo A57 features a 5.2-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection and is powered by a 1.4GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 (MSM8940) processor, along with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone also comes with support for Gloved and Wet Touch Input. The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card. The smartphone runs on 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with ColorOS 3.0 on top of it and get its juices from the 2900mAh Non-removable battery.

On the camera front, the OPPO A57 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, LED Flash, Bokeh effect feature and a good 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 for selfies and video chats. The smartphone also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in its home button. Besides, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM (Dual Nano-SIM Cards), 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n), 4.1, GPS, a microUSB port, Distance sensor, Light sensor, G-sensor, and E-compass. The handset measures 149.1×72.9×7.65 mm and weighs around 147 grams.
