OnePlus 6 reported to feature iPhone X-like notch, Snapdragon 845 SoC

The phone is reported to feature a 19:9 aspect ratio, which hints the presence of a notch on the top.

OnePlus is reportedly working on the next-generation of its flagship device, the OnePlus 6. However, if the latest leak is believed to be true then OnePlus will join the league of manufacturers who are destined to copy Apple iPhone X-like notch.

As per Central, the upcoming flagship device will come loaded with an Apple iPhone X-like notch. The phone is reported to feature a 19:9 aspect ratio, which hints the presence of a notch on the top. This is in line with previous leaks that suggested the top-notch of the OnePlus 6 along with glass back finish at the back, vertically aligned dual-camera setup and minimal screen bezels.

Further, the publication was able to obtain AnTuTu Benchmark scores of the latest OnePlus 6. The listing reveals that the upcoming device will be codenamed as A6000. The phone scored 2,76,510 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, which compete with the latest flagship devices present in the market. This also reveals that the smartphone will be backed by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.

This is in line with OnePlus CEO Pete Lau claim of bringing the latest to the upcoming smartphone. In an interview with CNET, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the company’s next flagship smartphone would be powered by Snapdragon 845 and it will be arriving late in the second quarter of this year, which ends on June 30.

However, in his interview, Pete Lau did not reveal the name of the smartphone but it is highly expected it will be none other than OnePlus 6. Regarding the Snapdragon 845 chipset, he said that “there’s no other choice” in the interview.
