OnePlus has begun rolling out new OxygenOS 5.1.6 update for its latest flagship device, the OnePlus 6. The update brings new features along with major bug fixes and improvements.
The update is about 223MB in size and users can check for it by going Settings > Phone > System updates. Talking about the update, it brings Portrait mode for the front camera. This will allow users to capture selfies with bokeh mode. Further, the update also adds a preview for Light Bokeh effect in Portrait Mode of the rear camera. This could a blatant rip-off of the same feature used in iPhone X and some Huawei smartphones.
The new update also brings the smart answer for Bluetooth. This will allow to automatically answer incoming calls when connecting to Bluetooth devices. Users will now be able to schedule Do Not Disturb (DND) mode with the latest update. Apart from this, the new OxygenOS update brings dual 4G network option in SIM and network settings.
The new update also brings optimised call clarity, support for battery percentage in the status bar, improved ringtone volume and sound quality and optimised power consumption and improved system stability. As always, this OTA will be incremental. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users first and then the brand will begin a broader rollout in a few days.
To recall, the smartphone was launched in May this year in India. The smartphone comes loaded with a price tag of Rs 34,999 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option.
