OnePlus has today announced the launch of its latest flagship device, the OnePlus 6, in India. The smartphone comes loaded with a price tag of Rs 34,999for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, Rs 39,999for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option. The phone will be exclusively available on Amazon starting from May 21 for Amazon Prime members, for everyone else the date is May 22. The company has also announced OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones for Rs 3,999 in the country as well.
OnePlus has already announced a host of launch offers on the latest smartphone. Customers can avail a discount of Rs 2,000 on SBI Credit and Debit card transactions during the first week. They will also be eligible to avail No Cost EMI for up to 3 months on all popular banks. Further, users will get complimentary 12-month accidental damage insurance by Servify.
For Idea customers, the company is offering Rs 2,000 cashback and device insurance as well. Amazon Prime Video consumers will get a gift card worth Rs 250 and discount up to Rs 500 on Amazon Kindle. Lastly, the company has also partnered with ClearTrip to offer up to Rs 25,000 benefits on flight and hotel bookings.
The phone comes in Mirror Black with a glossy finish, Midnight Black with a matte finish and Silver White with a matte finish and rose gold edges colour options. The Silver White colour option will be available from June 5. OnePlus has also announced that it will be bringing five new OnePlus experience stores acrossthe country in coming months.
The major highlight of the device is the new glass design at the back with company’s horizon line along with an iPhone X-like notch on the front. The phone is equipped with 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The device is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor along with Adreno 609 GPU.
The device is backed by a 6GB/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of UFS 2.1 storage options. The smartphone features dual rear cameras with a combination of 20-megapixel with Sony IMX 519 sensor and 16-megapixel Sony IMX376K sensor along with optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with company’s OxygenOS 5.1 running on top of it. The phone comes loaded with gesture navigations and Gaming Mode that enhances the gaming experience.
The phone comes loaded with a fingerprint sensor at the back panel, which the brand claims can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds and Face Unlock feature that can unlock the phone in 0.4 seconds. The OnePlus 6 features 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge technology, which gives a day’s power in half hour. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, GPS, NFC, Dual-SIM and USB Type-C port.
