OnePlus just yesterday confirmed the name of its upcoming flagship device will be OnePlus 6 via official teaser. Now, the company has confirmed some important specifications of its upcoming smartphone.
OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau, in a forum post, has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 6 will feature a massive 256GB of internal storage, making it company’s first phone to bear such large storage. Lau also confirmed that the phone will be backed by an 8GB of RAM. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
“Understanding the relationship between people and smartphones, we brainstormed with our community of OnePlus users to learn what the users want most – a flexible, light and quick experience. Keeping these parameters at heart, we have conceptualized the OnePlus 6. To make this experience a reality we have established within our ranks a special R&D unit, called Team FSE (Fast, Stable, Efficient). The one goal of this unit is to ensure that we can transcend the current norm with providing our users with what we believe to be a truly ‘burdenless’ user experience.” Lau said in a blog post.
The brand earlier posted an official teaser on the company’s official Twitter handle. The teaser is just 4 seconds long but it confirms the name of the company’s next smartphone to be OnePlus 6. Also, the teaser says that this phone will pack “the speed you need”.
Recently, OnePlus confirmed that it will bring the top-notch similar to Apple iPhone X in its next flagship device. The brand’s co-founder Carl Pei confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will join the league of other Android smartphone makers that are going to launch their devices with a top notch.
As per reports, OnePlus 6 could be launched later this month. The source says that the OnePlus 6 will come in three storage variants – 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. The 64 GB variant will be priced at 3299 Yuan (approx. Rs 34,095), the 128 GB variant will be priced at 3799 Yuan (approx Rs 39,262) while the premium 256 GB variant will cost you 4399 Yuan (approx. Rs 45,463).
