We’ve come to know that HMD Global has been developing a mid-range smartphone under a new X-series and with a launch scheduled for May 16th, the Nokia device surfaces for the last time. The Nokia 6 as we’ve come to call it is the company’s next mid-range device that comes with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 636 SoC which also powers Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus’ Zenfone Max Pro M1.
According to the latest listing on a Chinese online retailer site, the Nokia X6 will boast of a 5.8-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and Resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixels. The octa-core SND 636 Processor is coupled with an Andreno 509 GPU, 3GB/4GB RAM options and up to 64GB of onboard strafe, depending on the variant you choose.
If that wasn’t enough to shake up its competition, the Nokia X6 will also employ a dual 16MP + 5MP rear camera with electronic image stabilization. There’s a 16MP sensor on the front that offers AI enhanced portrait selfies.
Considering the fact that this is a Nokia phone, There’s no doubt that the Android 8.1 Oreo on the device will provide a close to stock experience, unlike in the Xioami device. The Nokia X6 will come with a standard 3,060mAh battery with Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 3,0 technology that can charge the phone to up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
The Nokia X6 is expected to be priced at 1499 yuan (approx. Rs 15,980) for its most expensive 4GB + 64GB variant. The device will come in a standard Black, Silver and Blue colours at the time of its launch in China tomorrow.
