Nokia 7.1 receives Android 10 update

The Android 10 update makes it the third Nokia phone after the Nokia 8.1 received the update in October this year and Nokia 9 PureView last week.

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 10 update for the Nokia 7.1 smartphone. It was launched last year running Android Oreo, and got the Pie update as well.

As an Android One programme smartphone, the Nokia 7.1 launched with a promise of with three years’ worth of guaranteed monthly security updates and two years of OS upgrades. The Android 10 update makes it the third Nokia phone after theNokia 8.1 received the update in October this year and Nokia 9 PureView last week.

The update brings Smart Reply, new gesture navigation to control of your Nokia smartphone with faster and more intuitive controls, additional controls over privacy and location data to have more control of your personal data and control when your location is shared with your apps.

Furthermore, it also supports Family Link in Digital Wellbeing settings, which allows users to set digital ground rules for the whole family. The focus mode blocks out distracting apps.

Nokia 7.1 features a 5.84-inch Full (1080×2280 pixels) display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 processor with Adreno 509 and coupled with 3GB/4GB with 32GB/64GB internal storage.

There is a dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixel (RGB) primary camera with dual flash, and a 5-megapixel (Monochrome) secondary sensor. For the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera. The Nokia 7.1 has a 3,060mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging
