Nokia 7 Plus which recently started receiving DP 4 for Android Pie is now confirmed to get an Android 9.0 Pie update in September. The device was among the seven devices to be included in the Android beta program.
Speaking at yesterday’s launch event of Nokia 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus in India, Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, confirmed that a stable OTA Android 9 Pie update would be heading to the Nokia 7 Plus next month. However, he did not reveal any specific date for the rollover of the update.
The Android Pie update will make it the first Snapdragon 660-powered phone to get the Android 9.0 Pie operating system. After Nokia 7 Plus, the Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 6.1 are expected to receive the update before the year-end.

To recall, HMD Global launchedNokia 7 Plus along with Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphones earlier this year in India. The smartphone comes with an aluminium body and it comes loaded with a 6.0-inch Full HD+ display (2160 x 1080 pixels resolution).
It is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Chipset and comes under Android One programme. The phone is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. It has dual rear cameras from Carl Zeiss with 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors. At the front of the phone, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
