HMD Global has today announced the launch of its latest mid-budget smartphone, the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 15,999 and it will be exclusively available on Flipkartand Nokia Mobile Shop starting from August 30.

The major highlight of the smartphone is the glass design and stock Android experience. The phone features an aluminium frame design and a glass body at the back. The phone features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels with 19:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. To recall, the phone was announced as Nokia X6 in Chinathis year.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor along with Adreno 509 GPU. The same Chipset is available on Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Nokia 6.1 Plus is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 40GB via micro SD card slot.

For optics, Nokia 6.1 Plus employs a dual-camera setup, which comes with a combination of 16-megapixel primary lens f/2.0 Aperture and a 5-megapixel Monochrome sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and it falls under the Android One programme, meaning that you will get a Stock Android experience and timely updates directly from Google. On the battery front, there is a 3060 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 Fast charging support. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and Type-C.
