HMD Global has scheduled a launch event in India and Italy on June 6. It was expected that Nokia 6.2 aka Nokia X71 in Italy and Nokia 9 PureView and Nokia 1 Plus in India. Now it is said that Nokia 9 PureView and Nokia 1 Plus will not launch on June 6, instead, the company might launch Nokia 6.2 at the event.
Nokia anew has posted a tweet which indicates that the Nokia 6.2 will launch with a price tag around $290 (roughly Rs 20,200), which is similar to the launch price of Nokia 6.1 in some markets. The tweet also mentions new colours, Zooming capability and dedicated Night mode on the upcoming device. It also suggests the Nokia 6.2 will not be a rebranded Nokia X71.
To recall, theNokia 6.1 smartphone was launched at starting at Rs 16,999 in India last year. So, it is expected that Nokia 6.2 will also be priced in the same range. The Nokia 6.2 is widely expected to be a rebranded Nokia X71 smartphone which was launched in Taiwan in April.
The Nokia X71 is a mid-range phone powered by a Snapdragon 660 Chipset featuring a 6.4-inch FHD+ Punch Hole display. The phone has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging and it runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
On the camera front, the phone has a 48-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, 0.8µm Pixel size, 6P lens, ZEISS optics, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with 120-degree FoV and a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture, Dual LED flash. For the front, the phone has a 16-megapixel camera with ZEISS optics. It also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
