Nokia 5.1 Plus which was launched in India for Rs 10,999 recently might receive Android 9.0 Pie update by this year-end. The specific date for the software update for the Nokia 5.1 Plus is not known at the moment but if the answer made to a user on Twitter is to be believed, the update is scheduled to happen by the end of this year.
Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer,HMD while replying to a user on Twitter has said that he would be surprised if the Nokia 5.1 Plus does not get Pie update before year end. The user asked him if the Nokia 5.1 Plus would get Android Pie before the end of the year.

Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus will be getting the update this month only in October while the Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco will get the update next month in November. The Nokia 7 Plus has already received an Android 9 Pie update while the Nokia 6.1 Plus recently received Android 9.0 (Pie) beta update.
To recap, Nokia 5.1 Plus has a 5.86-inch HD+ display, 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and has a 3000mAh battery. For camera, the phone has dual rear cameras of a 13-megapixel primary and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
