Nokia has reportedly also reduced the price of Nokia 5 3GB and Nokia 8 smartphones by up to Rs 8,000, according to Mahesh Telecom, a Mumbai-based mobile phone retailer. The retailer announced the price cut via its social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter). However, there is no official confirmation from the company regarding the same. Nokia 5 comes in Matte Black and Tempered Blue colours while Nokia 8 is available in Steel, Polished Blue and Tempered Blue colours
Nokia 5 3GB variant was launched in India for Rs 13,499 last year in November. Now after the price cut of Rs 1,000, Nokia 5 3GB will be available for Rs 12,499. It is also to be noted that at the time of writing the story, Nokia 5 3GB is retailing at its original price of Rs 13,499 on Flipkart.
On the other hand, Nokia 8 was launched in India in September for Rs 36,999. The phone has also reportedly got a price cut of Rs 8,000 and now after the price cut, it is available for Rs 28,999. Currently, Nokia 8 is retailing at Rs 35,999 ao Flipkart and at Rs 36,999 on Amazon.

To recap, Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch 2.5D curved HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Underneath the hood, the device will be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, paired with Qualcomm Adreno 505 GPU. For the memory, we have 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It recently received the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size, dual-toned LED flash while at the front we get an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree field of view and auto focus.
Powering the entire device is a 3000 mAh battery, and Nokia 5 does have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. For connectivity, we get Micro USB (USB 2.0), USB OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS and for the sensors, Nokia has given in Accelerometer (G-sensor), ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint sensor, Hall sensor, gyroscope and a proximity sensor. The device measures at 149.7 x 72.5 x 8.05 mm.
The flagship Nokia 8 phone comes with a 5.3-inch IPS QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in a 2.5D finish for better aesthetics. It is powered by an octa-core (Four 2.5GHz Kryo + Four 1.8GHz Kryo) Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of LPPDDR4X RAM along with 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 256GB. The phone received Android Oreo update in November last year.
