HMD Global has started rolling out a new update to its Nokia 4.2 users in India. The update brings new features along with general bug fixes and improvements.
The update is currently rolling out to the India units of Nokia 4.2. The new update comes with version number V1.22E and it is around 439.7 MB in size. The changelog reveals that the update brings improved system stability and user interface enhancements. It also adds that the May security patch to the smartphone.

In order to check for the update, one can go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Before starting the update, your device should be at least 50% charged with a stable Wi-Fi network.
Nokia 4.2 was launched in India last month for Rs 10,990. The device features a 5.71-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded via microSD card slot.
For the camera, the Nokia 4.2 has a dual-camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 Aperture coupled with a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It has an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie and it is juiced up by a 3000mAh battery.
