Nokia 4.2 was launched in May this year in India. Now the smartphone has started receiving a new software update in India that brings the July 2019 Android security patch and dual VoLTE support.
As per a report, Nokia 4.2 has started receiving the July security update from Google. The update is 1307.2 MB in size and it is currently rolling out in India and US. The update is being pushed as an over-the-air in batches. One can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software updates.

The latest update brings Android 9 Pie build V1.36B and it enables Dual-VoLTE support in India. Apart from this, the update improves system stability and USer InterfaceI enhancements.
To recall, Nokia 4.2 is priced at Rs 9,690 and it features a 5.71-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and 270ppi pixel density. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded with the help of a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the imaging department, the Nokia 4.2 is backed by a dual-camera setup, which comes with a combination of 13-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 Aperture coupled with a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, it is loaded with an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie and it comes with Android One branding and it is backed up by a 3000mAh battery.
