After the recent Tata Sky collaboration for Binge on Fire TV Stick, Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K now integrated Netflix catalogue into its search experience.
With this Fire TV customers in India can search and play Netflix content by typing or using Alexa voice search with the remote. For instance, if you now say “Alexa, find Ray Donovan” using your Alexa Voice Remote or type for ‘Ray Donavan’ on your Alexa Voice Remote, Fire TV will serve this content both from Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, giving the absolute choice to the customer. Fire TV customers will now see content search results from Netflix, even if they are not signed in to, or subscribed to Netflix.
In the Tata Sky collaboration for Binge on Fire TV Stick, Tata Sky Binge will initially offer digital content from, Hotstar, Sun NXT, Eros NOW, Hungama Play via a single subscription fee. Subscribers will also have access to over 5000 titles from the Tata Sky VOD library along with favourite TV shows of the past 7 days. Tata Sky Binge will be available to all Tata Sky subscribers at Rs 249 per month. New subscribers to Tata Sky Binge will also get 3 months of Amazon Prime access.
Earlier Amazon rolled out an update to its Fire TV Stick 4K that enables screen mirroring option. With this, users can simply press and hold the “Home” button on the Alexa voice remote and select the mirroring option. The company claims that Fire TV Stick 4K detects all compatible devices within 30 feet.
