Motorola has quietly taken the wrappers off the Motorola One and Motorola One Power smartphones at the IFA 2018 event in Berlin. Both phones are powered by the Android One initiative, meaning even if the devices run on Android 8.1 Oreo, Motorola will be seeding them an update to Android Pie as well as next year’s Android Q. Being the cheaper device, the Motorola One will come at an asking price of 299 euros (approx. Rs 24,700) with the Motorola One Power yet to be priced at the moment.
Starting off, the Motorola One marches on its own with a 5.9-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and an elongated 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 chip with Adreno 506 graphics, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. There will be a dual camera setup at the back with a 13MP f/2.0 Aperture lens combined with a secondary 2MP (f/2.4) lens for depth sensing. The front camera is an 8MP sensor and all of this is backed by a 3,000mAh battery on the inside. The Motorola One will be available in White and Black colours for an asking price of 299 euros (approx. Rs 24,700).
The Motorola One Power, on the other hand, will equip a larger 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a taller 19:9 aspect ratio and a resolution that boasts 2246 × 1080 pixels. The device will be powered by a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 636 clocked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 509 GPU. It will be available in two configurations – 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB with expandable storage of up to 128GB. While the front-facing 8MP camera remains the same, the dual cameras at the back are a combination of 16MP and 5MP sensors. All of which is fuelled by a larger 5,000mAh battery with Fast charging through he bundled TurboPower charger. The One Power will be available in Black, White and Golden colours and could be the only variant coming to India.
