Recently, Maruti Suzuki was found testing its 2018 WagonR hatchback on the streets of Delhi-NCR and now we spotted it testing its compact SUV, Vitara on the roads, for the Indian market. The SUV is expected to be available slightly above the price tag of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) in the fourth quarter later this year. It will be introduced against the Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster.

The SUV is expected to be powered by a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder, 1373 cc displacement BoosterJet petrol engine, which will produce maximum power of 140 PS at 5,500 rpm and peak torque of 220 Nm at 1,500-4000 RPM. While the Creta 1.6-liter, 1591 cc displacement petrol engine has 121.3 PS of power at 6400 rpm and 151 Nm of peak torque at 4850 rpm.
Comparing the dimensions with the Hyundai Creta, the Vitara measures 4175 mm in length, 1775 mm in width, 1610 mm in height, 2500 mm of wheelbase and ground clearance of 185 mm. While the Creta is 95 mm longer at 4270 mm, 5 mm wider at 1780 mm, 20 mm higher at 1630 mm. Further, the Creta has a 90 mm more wheelbase at 2590 mm and 5mm more ground clearance.
Meanwhile,Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), has introduced the 2018 edition of the Gixxer and the Gixxer SF in India. The company has commenced the dispatches for the bikes to the authorised dealership at a price tag of Rs 80,928 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 90,037 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
