Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), has introduced the 2018 edition of the Gixxer and the Gixxer SF in India. The company has commenced the dispatches for the bikes to the authorised dealership at a price tag of Rs 80,928 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 90,037 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
The 2018 edition is equipped with the all-new graphics, ECSTAR logo inspired by the MotoGP and a new paint scheme of Candy Sonoma Red and Metallic Sonic Silver. For those who don’t know, Suzuki runs its MotoGP team under the name of Team Suzuki ECSTAR MotoGP, sponsoring the Ecstar engine oil.
The new-Gixxer series is powered by the same BS IV based 154.9cc displacement, 4-Stroke, 1-Cylinder, Air-Cooled engine, which is capable of producing 14.8 PS of maximum power at 8000 rpm and 14.8 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. The machines are mated to a 5-speed transmission gearbox, with the tank capacity of 12-litre.
As far as dimensions are concerned, the Gixxer features a length of 2050 mm, 785 mm of width and height of 1030, while the Gixxer SF spots a 1085 mm height, with same length and width. Further, the motorcycles come with a wheelbase of 1330 mm, ground clearance of 160 mm and seat height of 780 mm.
Further, the 2018 Gixxer and the Gixxer SF runs on the 17-inch alloy wheels and rides on the telescopic suspension system at the front and mono-shock at the rear. Other than this, similar to the previous version, the motorcycle features an all-digital speedometer, with tachometer, shift light, low engine oil indicator, clock and more.
