As we reported earlier, LG is working on two smartwatches that will be powered by Google’s latest Android Wear 2.0. Dubbed as LG Watch Sport and Watch Style, the smartwatches alleged low-res pictures were leaked earlier this month and now a new press renders of Watch Style has hit the internet.
As shared by known tipster, Evan Blass, the renders shows that smartwatch will come with a circular dial with a single digital crown coupled with a leather strap. The press images show that device in silver and rose gold colour variants. The image resemble to the one we saw in previous rumour, which is a good thing as it adds some authenticity to the recent leak.
In another news, the price of LG Watch Style has also been leaked online. According to a”trusted source” of Android Police, the smartwatch will start at $249 (approx. Rs 16,950). However, there is no way to confirm it, so we suggest to take this leak with a pinch of salt.
Google is said to hold an event on February 9 where it will announce Android Wear 2.0 along with two LG smartwatches. Coming to the specs, the LG Watch Style will be more of a budget-centric device, while the Sport model will be a high-end one. The Style variant will come with a 1.2-inch OLED display and a screen Resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. The smartwatch will be backed by a 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal memory, and a 240mAh battery.
On the other hand, the LG Watch Sport will sport a 1.38-inch OLED display with 480 x 480 Pixel resolution. The device will be backed by 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and will come equipped with a 430mAh battery. The smartwatch will sport a heart-rate sensor.
Both the smartwatches will come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, while the Sport model coming equipped with cellular connectivity (3G and LTE) as well, along with GPS and NFC (Near Field Communication). The smartwatches are said to be Android and iOS compatible.
Other than this, it is reported that both the smartwatches will come with adeep integration of the famous Google Assistant. LG Watch Sport and Watch Style will be water and dust resistant, with the former sporting an IP68 certification, while the latter will ship with IP67 certification.
