Reliance Jio is yet to make the pricing official for its fibre-to-home (FTTH) service in India. Now, we are hearing that the telecom operator has introduced a new pack for its JioGigaFiber service with lower security deposit fee of Rs 2,500.
The company earlier introduced Rs 4,500 security deposit for its new service back in August last year. With this, the company has cut down on some features as well.
To start with, with Rs 2,500 security deposit, customers will get to experience reduced speeds to 50Mbps as compared to the 100Mbps speeds offered with Rs 4,500 deposit. Furthermore, customers will get a single-band router, while customers with higher plan got Dual-Band WiFi router that supports 2.4G and 5G bandwidth.
However, customers opting for the lower one-time deposit will get free voice services on GigaFiber, meaning that they can make calls through the broadband. Apart from this, customers will get 1,100GB of data per month along with access to JioTV application.
Previously, the Mukesh Ambani-led telecom operator started testing a new Triple Play plan for its GigaFiber FTTH service offering several benefits including free data and entertainment options. The single Triple Play plan which is being demoed offers a validity of 28 days with 100GB of data at 100Mbps.
Additional benefits inside the Jio GigaFiber Triple Play plan includes unlimited voice calling, subscription to Jio Home TV and access to Jio App suite. Jio Home TV is what was previously rumoured to be Jio’s IPTV service and with that confirmed, we can expect the Jio GigaFiber service to club billing from the internet, TV, and mobile into a single one.
