Shortly after hosting its ‘Infinix Anniversary Sale’ on Flipkart, Infinix has now announced the Infinix S4 2.0, an upgraded version of its Infinix S4 smartphone which was launched in May. The smartphone comes in a new 4GB+64GB configuration and will be available for Rs 8,999 from August 8 on Flipkart.
The Infinix S4 2.0 comes with a 6.21-inch HD+ screen with a drop notch and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. the front of the screen is wrapped with a dual 2.5D glass body and has a peak brightness of 500nits.
Similar to its predecessor, the S4 2.0 is powered by a 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio P22 Cortex-A53 Processor with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone is loaded by a 4000mAh battery.
For imaging, the S4 2.0 comes with a triple camera setup at the back comprising of a 13-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle secondary lens with 120-degree field of view and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field sensor. It comes with a 32-megapixel selfie shooter on the front with features likeAI-assisted Face Unlock, AI Cam, AI Beauty, and Bokeh.
The Infinix S4 2.0 runs on Android 9.0 Pie with XOS 5.0 Cheetah OS running on top of it. The phone comes with a fingerprint scanner and a Face unlock system which detects 1024 facial points for advanced security. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, dual-SIM, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack and Micro USB port.
Speaking about the launch, Infinix India CEO, Anish Kapoor said “S4 has been one of the most innovative camera-centric product from Infinix in the Indian market till now. For us, product evolution is a sustained process with the user at the centre of our efforts. Our focused user engagement efforts provided us with valuable insights to help augment S4’s feature by offering a 4+64GB RAM ROM combination. It is a constant challenge to check all boxes in a fan’s wishlist but we have slowly but surely established Infinix as a brand synonymous with giving ‘something more’ in the budget smartphone segment”.
Infinix S4 2.0 will be available in India in Nebula Blue, Twilight Purple and Space Grey colours for a launch price of Rs 10,999 on Flipkart from August 8. However, during Flipkart’s Independence Day sale the S4 2.0 can be purchased for Rs 8,999 while the original Inifinix S4 will be available for Rs 7,999 on sale.
