HTC U12 Life might launch on August 30

The HTC U12 Life will feature a 6.0-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

HTC is all set to introduce a new smartphone on August 30. The company has posted the launch date on its official Twitter handle with a tagline.

The tweet reads, “Beauty and power meet on August 30th 2018.” Although the company has not revealed which phone it will launch, but many believe it will be none other HTC U12 Life phone, which has been rumoured for a while now.

Interestingly, multiple reports suggest that the phone will not be manufactured by HTC. The brand will outsource the upcoming phone to other ODM ( original device manufacturer).

Recollecting some key specifications, the HTC U12 Life will feature a 6.0-inch Full display with a screen of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

On the hardware front, the phone will be armed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 along with Adreno 509 GPU. In terms of memory, you get a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which might be expandable in nature via card slot. With such kind of specifications, the phone might fall under mid-budget to the mid-premium segment. As for the competition is concerned, it will have a tough time competing with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, Motorola Moto Z3 Play and more.

The phone might run on 8.1 Oreo and it will be backed by a 3600mAh battery. For optics, the U12 Life will have dual rear cameras of 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors with video recording. For the front, there might be a 13-megapixel camera with a selfie flash.
