Google Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL expected to launch on May 7, price leaked

Google I/O event will be held at the Shoreline Ampitheatre, California from May 7 to May 9.

Of late Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL have been in news via various leaks and renders. Now, we have information about the phone’s pricing and availability.

Google has now shared a new teaser on Google’s which reads “something big coming to Pixel universe” on May 7th. However, the company has not officially revealed the arrival of Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL smartphones, but it is highly expected that both the devices might be launched on 7th May. This is the same day when the Google I/O annual developer conference kicks-off. Google I/O event will be held at the Shoreline Ampitheatre, California from May 7 to May 9.

Meanwhile, a user on social networking website Reddit has leaked the Canadian pricing of the upcoming mid-range smartphones from Google. As per the leaked pricing, Pixel 3a will start at CAD 649 (Rs 33,900) while the Pixel 3a XL will start at CAD 799 (Rs 41,600).

Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL recently appeared on Google Play Console with a few of their specifications. Pixel 3a will feature a 5.6-inch FHD+ screen with a of 2160×1080 pixels. The Pixel 3a XL will come with a 6-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2220 pixels. The latter will notably be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC.

Both phones will come with 4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB storage configurations and will run 9 Pie. As for optics, the Pixel 3a and 3a XL will feature a single 12.2MP rear camera with dual flash and an 8MP sensor on the front for selfies.

The devices will be powered by a 3,000 battery with support and will run the stock version of Android 9 Pie. A recent case renders leak showed the Pixel 3a in black and the 3a XL in white colours, there are rumours that an Iris colour variant is also in the pipeline.
