Google is working on two new mid-range smartphones under the Pixel 3 branding – the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL. Now the launch of both the smartphones seems imminent as they have been certified by Singapore’s Info-communications Media Development Authority.
As per the listing, Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL carry model number G020B and G020F respectively, however they do not confirm the marketing name of the two upcoming smartphones. Since they have been now certified by the IMDA, it indicates that Google may be planning to launch them very soon.
As per earlier leaks, Pixel 3a will feature a 5.6-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a resolution of 2220×1080 pixels, 440 PPI Pixel density and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 670 Processor with an Adreno 615 GPU.
The Pixel 3a XL will come with a 6-inch FHD+ OLED display and will be powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 710 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 616 GPU.
Both phones will come with 4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB storage configurations and will run Android 9 Pie. As for optics, the Pixel 3a and 3a XL will feature a single 12.2MP rear camera with dual LED flash and an 8MP Wide-Angle sensor on the front for selfies. Both phones will feature the same 3,000mAh battery.
A recent report revealed the price, storage, and color variants of the two devices. Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL will have 64GB of internal storage and they be available in Iris, Black, and White color variants. As for pricing, the report has revealed that Pixel 3a could be priced around EUR 450 that roughly translates to Rs 36,000. The Pixel 3a XL is expected to cost even more.
