Fossil Sport smartwatch unveiled with Snapdragon Wear 3100, Wear OS, NFC

The Sport is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip with enhanced battery life and 4G LTE connectivity. The device comes with a 350mAh battery that supports Rapid, magnetic and wireless charging and offers up to a day on a single charge and up to two days when used on a battery saving mode.

Weeks after launching the Vapor 2 smartwatch under its Misfit brand, Fossil has announced the Fossil Sport smartwatch – a wear OS wearable with the latest Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip from Qualcomm and fitness features. The latest Fossil smartwatch comes at an asking price of $255 (approx. Rs 18,500).

The Sport from Fossil is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip which was unveiled in September with enhanced battery life and connectivity. The device comes with a 350mAh battery that supports Rapid Charging and offers up to a day on a single charge and up to two days when used on a battery saving mode. The watch also supports magnetic and wireless charging.

The device runs on the latest Wear OS interface from Google with options like Google Assistant, faster access to information, health coaching features from Google Fit and Quick Swipe. The Sport has an inbuilt heart rate sensor, altimeter, ambient light sensor, mic and speaker for calls.

In terms of connectivity, the Fossil watch comes with GPS, for contactless payments and Bluetooth, the last of which allows the device to be paired with an or smartphone. The Sport from Fossil comes with pre-installed apps like Spotify, Maps and Noonlight.

The Fossil Sport will be available for an asking price of $255 (approx. Rs 18,500) and will be available globally from November 12. The watch comes with interchangeable 18mm and 22mm straps or bracelets that go with the 41mm and 43mm dials respectively. In total, the device comes in six body colours and 28 straps.
