A year after announcing the Vapor smartwatch in India for Rs 14,495, Misfit has announced its successor – the Misfit Vapor 2 running on Google’s WearOS. The Misfit Vapor 2 is now priced at $249.99 (approx. Rs 18,300).
The Fossil-owned wearable company has now revealed the follow up their first touchscreen smartwatch which packs in new features and comes in two different size options to choose from. The successor to the Vapor comes in two cases – a 41mm case with a 1.19-inch display and a 46mm case with a 1.39-inch display; both made of AMOLED panels with a Pixel density of around 330ppi.
The Vapor 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 Processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB storage. The watch runs on Google’s WearOS interface which is easy to use and navigate through with a variety of gestures. You can swipe through the homescreen to access your notifications, shortcuts and fitness info.
Besides the specs, the smartwatch equips heart rate tracking, calories count, built-in GPS which no longer needs a phone to be tethered to see the distance and route travelled. There’s an integrated NFC chip to make payment directly from the smartwatch in addition to the ability to pair a Bluetooth headset to play music on the go.
The new Misfit watch has an all-day (300mAh/330mAh) battery with a Magnetic charger that charges the watch from zero to 80 percent in 50 minutes. The watch is water resistant to up to 30 meters and can thus be worn swimming in shallow water. It’s compatible with any phone running on Android 4.4 or iOS 9.3 or higher.
The Misfit Vapor 2 is available in 8 different colour versions varying from sports, leather and stainless steel among straps and Jet Black, Rose Beige, Indigo and Walnut options among colours. The Misfit Vapor 2 is priced at $249.99 (approx. Rs 18,300).
