Alcatel will be launching two tablets for the Indian market, one of them will be 2-in-1 tablet known as Alcatel Plus 12, during Diwali season. Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, Alcatel India confirmed the development to The Mobile Indian.
To recall, the Alcatel Plus 12 was announced during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 along with Alcatel A5 LED, A3 and U5 smartphones. As for the Indian pricing is concerned, Valecha says that the tablet will be priced from “mid to high” range. The brand will also unveil an 8-inch 4G tablet as well, however, he didn’t share the details about the pricing and specifications of the upcoming tablet.
As for the Alcatel Plus 12 is concerned, the Windows 10 based 2-in-1 tablet features an 11.6-inch IPS display FHD 1080p resolution and comes bundled with an LTE keyboard. The tablet is powered by an Intel Celeron N3350 Processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
One can also expand the storage of up to 128GB via microSD card. The tablet also has a fingerprint scanner, a USB type C port, HDMI port and a Headphone jack as well. The tablet is backed up by 6900mAh battery and runs on Windows 10 OS and comes with a 5MP front-facing camera. The tablet measures 284 x 175 x 7.9mm and weighs 990 grams. Besides, the tablet offers Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2 and an N-Trig-powered pen compatible with Windows Ink.
The keypad can be connected to 7 pogo pins and has a 4G SIM slot. The keypad gets its power by a Qualcomm MDM9207 processor, along with 128MB of RAM and has USB-A port as well. The keyboard is backed up by a 2580mAh battery.
