Canon EOS Rebel SL3 DSLR camera launched with 4K video support

The EOS Rebel SL3 carries a powerful 24.1 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor paired with Canon’s DIGIC 8 image processor which helps improve autofocus performance and allows processing of 4K video and 4K time-lapse movies. The camera offers an optical system with 9 AF points and spot focus for selecting a subject precisely.

A little over a week after launching the IVY CLIQ and IVY CLIQ Plus Instant Camera Printers, Canon has launched the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 DSLR camera with Dual Pixel eye-tracking and video support. The Canon EOS Rebel SL3 will be available for an asking price of $599.99 (approx. Rs 41,500).

The EOS Rebel SL3 carries a powerful 24.1 CMOS (APS-C) sensor paired with Canon’s DIGIC 8 image processor which helps improve performance and allows processing of 4K video and 4K time-lapse movies. The camera offers an optical system with 9 AF points and spot focus for selecting a subject precisely.

There’s a Dual Pixel system which offers accurate autofocus when shooting 1080p video. The SL3 is the first Canon Rebel camera which can shoot 4K videos. Users can shoot at as low as 5fps with an expanded ISO range of up to 51,200 and a battery life of up to 1,600 shots or 350 with live view.

The EOS Rebel SL3 weighs in at 449 grams and measures at 122 x 93 x 70 mm.

The Rebel SL3 uses a 3.0-inch vari-angle touchscreen as well as an optical viewfinder allowing users to enjoy two different ways of shooting. There’s a Smooth Skin setting which renders skin tones and a Creative Assist interface which allows users to change shooting conditions in Live View.

The Canon EOS Rebel SL3 will be available as body-only for an asking price of $599.99 (approx. Rs 41,500). The camera with an EF-S 18-55 mm f/4-5.6 IS lens can be purchased as a bundle for $749.99 (approx. Rs 51,900).
