BSNL Rs 666 prepaid plan validity reduced

The plan now comes with a validity of 122 days as against 129 days it was offering earlier.

After revising Rs 349 prepaid plan, State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has now revised its prepaid plan of Rs 666. The plan now comes with a validity of 122 days as against 129 days it was offering earlier.

The BSNL Rs 666 plan now offers unlimited voice calling benefits, 1.5GB data per day and 100 messages per day for 122 days. Earlier the same plan used to offer a validity of 129 days. It is to be noted that the plan does not offer free voice calling in Delhi and Mumbai regions. Post the consumption of data, BSNL has added a FUP (Fair Usage Policy) speed of 40 kbps.

The development was first reported by Telecom Talk. The report says that the revision is already effective across all the circles where BSNL has its operations.

The BSNL Rs 666 prepaid plan, dubbed the ‘Sixer 666’, was launched by BSNL back in the mid-year 2017 with a validity of 60 days. The plan initially offered 2GB daily data, but the plan was revised last year to offer the 1.5GB data per day.

BSNL is currently running an Additional data offer under which it offers 2.2GB additional daily data over the existing data benefit of the plan and the Rs 666 falls under the same. So the Rs 666 plan offers a whopping 3.7GB data per day. The additional data offer is valid until April 30, 2019.

Meanwhile, the revised BSNL Rs 349 plan now offers 64 days of validity. Previously, the BSNL Rs 349 plan offered 54 days of validity. This plan also offers unlimited voice calls (excludes Delhi and Mumbai circles), 3.2GB data per day and 100 SMSes per day for 64 days. The total data benefits being offered by this plan are 204.8GB.
