The state-run telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has now extended the availability of the Rs 108 prepaid recharge plan. BSNL will now offer the Rs 108 prepaid plan until December 12, 2019. Earlier the same plan was valid until October 27, 2019.
The plan was announced in July this year under the promotional basis for 90 days. The Rs 108 plan listed on the BSNL Chennai site was made available for the first 90 days, i.e. from 30 July to 27 October.
It offers unlimited voice calling benefits to any network except Mumbai and Delhi circles. Further, it also provides 500 SMS messages and 1GB data per day for the entire validity of 28 days. This prepaid plan is only available in Chennai at the moment.
Earlier, BSNL also extended the availability of Rs 1,188 Mathuram prepaid plan for another 90 days. BSNL will now offer the Rs 1,188 prepaid plan until January 21, 2020, valid for 90 days. Earlier the same plan was valid until October 23, 2019.
The BSNL Rs 1,188 plan comes with a validity of 345 days and it offers 5GB of 2G/3G/4G data, unlimited voice calling to any network, including the Mumbai and Delhi circles. The voice calls are though limited to just 250 minutes per day, after which BSNL will charge users at standard call rates. Apart from this, the plan also offers a total of 1,200 SMS messages for the whole validity period.
Previously, BSNL started rolling out extra 1.5GB of data per day for its Rs 429 prepaid plan. The prepaid plan earlier offered 1GB of data per day with a validity of 71 days. After extra data benefit over its existing data limit, BSNL customers opting for this plan will get a total of 2.5GB of data per day.
