Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has started rolling out 4G VoLTE services in select circles in India. The state-owned telecom operator is also offering some free data benefits to its users.
As per a report by TelecomTalk, the state-owned operator is rolling out 4G VoLTE services in Gujarat along with some other circles. The company is also providing free data benefits to its users as well. Users opting for 4G SIM will get 2GB of free data to its subscribers. The report highlights that the services go live in Gandhidham and Anjar town of Gujarat. The company is also rolling out 4G services in Chennai, Nagpur, Bhiwapur, Vijayawada and more.
Meanwhile, the company has discontinued five long validity prepaid plans. The company has discontinued Rs 549, Rs 561, Rs 2,798, Rs 3998 and Rs 4,498. BSNL terminated Rs 549 prepaid plan, which is also the cheapest long-validity plan from the operator. The plan came 2GB of data per day along with free PRBT and it comes with a validity of 60 days. The second plan is COMBO 561 STV that offered 1GB of data per day with free PRBT and came with a validity of 80 days.
The company recently reduced the validity of Rs 666 prepaid plan in the country. The pack earlier used to offer 129 days of validity, but with the recent revision, it now offers 122 days of validity. The BSNL Rs 666 plan offers unlimited voice calling benefits, 1.5GB data per day and 100 SMS messages per day. Once the data limit is over, the speed was reduced to 40Kbps.
