BSNL introduces Rs 2,499 broadband plan with 40GB daily data limit

BSNL is also offering 25 percent cashback for those customers who select the plan for six or 12 months.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has today announced a new plan. The plan is priced at Rs 2,499 and it comes with 40GB daily data at 100 speeds for a month.

The new BSNL broadband plan is called “40GB Plan” and it is currently live in select telecom circles where BSNL is offering its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services. BSNL is also offering 25 percent cashback for those customers who select the plan for six or 12 months.

The cashback offer is valid until February 28. If a user chooses the Rs 2,499 broadband plan for six months, then the cashback amount will be around Rs 3,700 and if a user chooses the plan for 12 months, there will be a cashback of Rs 7,400.

The new broadband plan from BSNL also offers unlimited free calling all over India on any network. The plan is a part of BSNL’s new Bharat Fibre scheme. BSNL recently announced its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service in India known as Bharat Fiber to counter Reliance Jio GigaFiber service.

The plan offers 40GB of broadband data every day at 100 Mbps download and upload speeds. After the completion of daily FUP (fair usage policy), the speed will be reduced to 2Mbps with no limit on data download.

Meanwhile, BSNL has today announced the launch of its new Wings application in India on Google Play Store. The service basically allows users to make and receive calls over the internet and it employs Mobile numbering scheme with the help of IP-specific access network of IMS NGN Core switches. With this, users can make calls using a tablet, laptop or smartphone with an active internet connection.
