The German-based motorcycle brand, BMW Motorrad will finally be launching its highly-anticipated 310cc sibling for the Indian market. The G310R street racer and the G310 GS adventure tourer will be unveiled by the end of June or starting July, while the delivery will commence by mid-August. Meanwhile, various dealers have started accepting the bookings for the machine with a token amount of Rs 50,000.
It will be the first time when, the Motorrad will be partnering with the TVS Motor Company for the production of BMW sibling in the country, which are expected to price around Rs 3.1 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the G310R and 3.4 Lakh (ex-showroom) for G310 GS.
To recall, the machines were first time spotted at the 2018 Auto Expo, which will be sharing their engine with the Apache RR 310. The 310cc displacement, single-cylinder liquid-cooled Fuel Injected unit will chunk the power of 34 PS and peak torque of 28 Nm.
As far as competition is concerned, the G310 GS adventure tourer will be launched against the Royal Enfield Himalayan, which is priced at Rs 1.9 Lakh on road and Kawasaki Versys X-300 (Rs 5.27 lakh, On-Road). While the G310R street will be against the KTM Duke 390 in the Indian market, which is tagged Rs 2.67 lakh on-road.
