The Xiaomi-backed company Black Shark recently launched Black Shark 2 in India. Now the company will be launching a new smartphone – Black Shark 2 Pro in China later this month. Black Shark 2 Pro will be the third smartphone model after Black Shark 2 and Black Shark 2.
The company has posted the launch date on microblogging platform Weibo. The launch event will be held on 30 July in China. The phone is expected to come powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC since its predecessor is powered by Snapdragon 855. Specifications of the Black Shark 2 Pro are unknown at the moment.
Asus has recently confirmed that it’s upcomingROG Phone 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. The gaming smartphone will go official on July 23 in China. Nubia also recently announced that the Nubia Red Magic 3 variant that will be powered by the Snapdragon 855+ octa-core chipset which will get launched soon.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus comes with eight Kryo 485 CPU that runs at a clock speed of 2.96 GHz as compared to the 2.8 GHz present in the Snapdragon 855. The Adreno 640 GPU comes with 15 percent increased performance as compared to the one present in the standard version.
In India, Black Shark 2 is priced at Rs 39,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant while the premium variant is priced at Rs 49,999, which comes with a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Black Shark 2 features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ TrueView Display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels along with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 403ppi of pixel density. The gaming phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Processor along with Adreno 640 GPU which is backed by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The Black Shark 2 has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with 27W Fast charging support that offers 30 minutes of gaming with just 5 minutes of charging. On the camera front, it is equipped with a dual-camera setup, which comes with a combination of 48-megapixel primary lens with f/1.75 aperture, 0.8-micron pixel size along with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.2 aperture, 1.0-micron pixel size, 2x lossless zoom and LED flash. For the front, the phone features a 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie.
