Volkswagen Group-owned automobile manufacturer, Audi has announced the launch if its Audi RS5 Coupe in India, at a price tag of Rs 1.1 Crore. With the second generation RS5 the company is said to be building the image and enhance the positioning of the brand as a young and sporty brand.
Starting with the design, the new Audi comes with the sportier large signature single-frame grille at the front along with new aerodynamic bumpers. It also gets the updated matrix LED headlamps at the front, and the signature LED tail light with the 3D look at the rear. The standard variant of the car will come with the 19-inch alloy wheels, while with an option of 20-inch wheels.
Powered by a smaller 2.9-litre TFSI twin-turbo V6 engine, the Audi RS5 is capable of generating 450 PS of maximum power along with the 600 Nm of peak torque. The V6 mill comes mated to eight-speed Tiptronic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive as standard.
It is claimed to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds and claimed to achieve a top speed of 250 kmph. However, with the optional RS dynamic package, the car will be able to sprint maximum speed to 280 kmph.
On safety front, the Audi RS5 is equipped with the wheel-selective torque control, Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Park Assist (rear view camera with parking system plus), Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and six airbags as a standard option.
