Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 gets a permanent price cut in India

Asus has slashed the price of the Zenfone Max Pro M1 by Rs 1,000 on all the variants.

Asus recently announced its new budget-centric smartphone, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 in India. Now, the company has confirmed that it will be still selling the Zenfone Max Pro M1 in India with a reduced price.

Asus has slashed the price of the Zenfone Max Pro M1 by Rs 1,000 on all the variants. With this, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 with 3GB and 32GB internal storage is now available at a reduced price of Rs 9,999 against its original MRP of Rs 10,999.

Similarly, the 4GB + 64GB storage option is now priced at Rs 11,999, against its original price of Rs 12,999. Finally, the top-end variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage will be priced at Rs 13,999. The phone was launched in India for Rs 14,999. All the variants will be available for purchase from Flipkart.

Earlier, Asus officially announced that it will roll out Android 9.0 Pie update for the Zenfone Max Pro M1. Asus says that the phone will get the latest update in the month of February next year. To recall, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 was launched in April this year at a price of Rs 10,999.

Jumping straight to the specifications, the Zenfone Max Pro (M1) features a 5.99-inch Full display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, 450 nits brightness, 15000:1 contrast ratio and 85 per cent NTSC colour gamut. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 along with Adreno 509 GPU.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro features a dual-camera setup at the rear, which comes with a combination of 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, 5 element lens, 80-degree wide angle lens, while there is a 5-megapixel secondary sensor for bokeh effects. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera f/2.0 aperture, 85.5 wide angle lens and 26mm focal length. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with near stock experience and it features a 5000mAh battery with 10W charger.
