Xiaomi seems to be working on another variant of last year’s Redmi Pro smartphone, which is dubbed as Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2. The details of alleged Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 smartphone has been leaked by a Weibo user (@KJuma).
The leak includes technical specifications, image and pricing of the so called Redmi Pro 2 smartphone. If this leak is to be believed, the Redmi Pro 2 will have two variants, one with 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, which will be priced at 1599 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,773), whereas the other one will have 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage and will cost 1799 Yuan (approximately Rs 17,750).
Further, the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The Redmi Pro 2 said to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX362 sensor and will be backed up by a 4500mAh battery. Moreover, looking at the image one can clearly see the fingerprint scanner on its back panel.

If we compare the specifications of last year’s Redmi Pro with Redmi Pro 2, this leak seems unjustifiable, as earlier version had dual rear camera setup and fingerprint scanner was integrated on its home button, whereas looking at the image only single camera module is visible at the back panel and the fingerprint scanner is placed on its back. So we would advice our users to take this as a pinch of salt.
