Samsung’s Galaxy S8 has become a hot topic of debate on the streets of tech town nowadays as we are witnessing rumours and speculations about the upcoming devices on a daily basis. And adding to the long list of leaks is what appears to be the first image of a working Samsung Galaxy S8.
The leaked image reveals some of the key specs of the upcoming flagship device. The image (below) clearly shows the bottom of the device which houses a 3.5mm Headphone jack, speaker grille and the USB Type-C port. The two Antenna bands are quite visible as well and so is the position of the microphone. The screen seems to be a curved on both sides, but there is no way to confirm whether it is of Samsung S8 or S8 Plus as both the devices are said to differ only in terms of size. Moving on, the physical navigation buttons are missing and interestingly there are no on-screen buttons as well.
Further, the leaked image is in line with a previously leaked image by the known tipster Evan Blass, which showcased the front and back panel of the device. The Samsung Galaxy Galaxy S8 will come in two size variants with a screen size of 5.8-inches or 6.2-inches. Both the displays will be QHD Super AMOLED and will boast a screen-to-body ratio of about 83 percent. Due to the non-standard screen sizes, the aspect ratio we are likely to see on these two smartphones will be 18:5:9.

The South Korean giant will be producing more Galaxy S8 Plus units as compared to the Samsung Galaxy S8. The report further adds that the company has taken this decision because it believes that consumers will opt for the Plus in ‘far greater numbers than the smaller Galaxy S8’. This makes sense, as the Samsung Galaxy S7 EDGE was favoured more as compared to the standard version with several estimates showing that almost 70 per cent of all Galaxy S7 sales were accounted by the Edge variant.
As for the specs are concerned, the device will come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. TheSamsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage, while it is reported that the China and Korean market will get a 6GB RAM and an option to choose between 64GB and 128GB of internal storage. A leak also claims that the former will come with a price tag of CNY 6,088 (approx. Rs 59,606) and the latter will be priced at CNY 6,488 (about Rs 63,523).
For the optics, both the variants will come with a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/1.7 Aperture and 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera is said to come with a bunch of new features including the recently rumoured visual search capability. For the battery, the 5.8-inch variant is likely to come with 3000 mAh battery while the 6.2-inch variant will house a 3500 mAh battery.
