Airtel has launched yet another prepaid plan of Rs 168 for its customers. The plan comes with a validity of 28 days and it directly competes with Vodafone’s recently launched Rs 159 prepaid plan.
As per a report of TelecomTalk, Airtel has introduced this prepaid plan in select circles such as Delhi, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana at the moment and it is valid only for select users in the said circles. Under Rs 168 plan, Airtel is offering unlimited local, STD and national Roaming voice calls without any FUP limit.
Apart from calling, Airtel Rs 168 plan also offers 1GB of 2G/3G/4G data per day and 100 SMS per day for the entire validity period of 28 days. So, the plan is offering 28GB data benefit. and 2800 SMS for the entire validity. In this plan, Airtel is also offering free Hello Tune subscription for 28 days. Users will be able to change the Hello Tunes as per their choice in this plan.
The plan has been introduced to give competition to Vodafone Rs 159 plan. Under Vodafone Rs 159 prepaid plan, users get 1GB data per day with unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS per day and 28GB data. However, in this plan, the voice calling benefits comes with a capping of 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week.
There is a Reliance Jio Rs 149 prepaid plan also with 28 days validity offering 1.5GB data per day or 42GB data for 28 days, unlimited voice calling without any FUP, 100 SMS per day and complimentary subscription of Jio apps as well.
Meanwhile, in a related story, Airtel has recently launched five new First Recharge (FRC) prepaid plans of Rs 178, Rs 229, Rs 344, Rs 495 and Rs 559 offering up to 126GB of data for the validity period for its new users.
