Bharti Airtel has introduced a new prepaid recharge plan priced at Rs 159 with a validity of 21 days. This plan takes on Reliance Jio’s Rs 149 plan and Vodafone’s Rs 159 plan, both for prepaid customers.
Under Rs 159 prepaid pack, the customers will get unlimited local, STD and Roaming voice calls and 1GB of 4G/3G/2G data. Additionally, the users will also get 100 SMS per day for a period of 21 days.
Telecom Talk reports that the plan is applicable to every user, but the data benefit differs with every user. If you are using your Airtel number as a temporary one, Airtel will offer you 1GB daily data, but if you’re using your Airtel number as a primary one, then the data benefit is 1GB for the entire 21 days.
In comparison, there is Vodafone Rs 159 open market plan which offers its customers 1GB 3G / 4G data per day, along with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. But this plan comes with 28 days validity as compared to 21 days validity offered by Airtel. However, Vodafone’s unlimited calling is capped at 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week. per week.
Then there is 149 plan from Reliance Jio which comes with 28 days validity to compete with Airtel Rs 159 plan. This Jio plan offers its users unlimited calling without any FUP, 1.5GB daily 4G data, 100 SMSes per day, and complimentary subscription to Jio apps.
Meanwhile, Airtel recently launched Rs 181 prepaid plan offering 3GB daily data with 14 days validity. This plan is offering unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit and 100 SMS per day for the entire validity period. Additionally, the plan also offers Rs 3GB 2G/3G/4G data per day.
